We run a wide variety of both competitive and non competitive events for our clients. Here is just a selection: –
Price Waterhouse Coopers held a corporate race day at the Hog Hill Circuit, London for customers and employees. We organised events for and individual time trial, a team time trial and also a circuit race too. The competition proved to be fierce and yet friendly!
Andy Cook Cycling ran the registration, timekeeping and also directed the racing. Plus we had mechanics on hand for running repairs and ‘medibikes’ in case of mishaps.
All day refreshments were provided including much needed sports nutrition. The racing was followed by a buffet and prize presentation.
Allen & Overy is an international law firm based in 30 countries around the world. For the UK office we organised a cycling day for their finance clients. This was based at the Lullingstine Golf Club near Orpington, Kent.
To help the day go smoothly we arranged transportation of attendees bicycles to and from the event. Following refreshments on arrival riders had options on how far they wanted to cycle. All routes had been risk assessed by us and were clearly signed. We also personally selected Ride Leaders for each distance plus organised feed stations for each route. The days cycling finished with a buffet lunch and prize giving on arrival at the HQ.
Vodafone gave their employees the opportunity to ride between 35 and 300 miles over 1 to 3 day event. The 35 mile route was from the Vodafone Newbury World HQ to their Bracknell office. The longest ride was over 3 days and took the participants all the way to Vodafone Manchester.
This event was a big challenge for some employees and the weather conditions encountered added to the sense of achievement. There were various stops along the way at Vodafone UK offices where a warm welcome was provided. Andy Cook Cycling preplanned and risk assessed the route which was also clearly signed. We also hand picked experienced ‘chaperones’ who rode with the Vodafone staff and were on hand to assist when required.
The ride was through both urban and countryside, including the beautiful Peak District which was unfortunately covered in mist!
Smiths News is the UK’s leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler. Andy Cook Cycling helped Smiths organise an employee 3-day cycle ride from Paris to the Smiths News UK HQ in Swindon.
Riders were an diverse mix of employees from all areas of the company and we witnessed some excellent team bonding. Andy Cook designed a lovely route through France and in the UK from Paris to Swindon.
Accommodation was arranged in hotels and we provided a support vehicle carrying spares and refreshments. Two groups were organised and both had experienced Ride Leaders provided by us. We experienced great weather in France, a little bit cooler in England, but a very warm welcome back the Smiths News HQ!
